Starter Activity
Introduce the session with the lesson objectives.
Explain why we need to look after and move our bodies using slides 3 and 4.
Talk through the skeletal and muscular system and the top 10 facts about bones and muscles on slides 5 to 8.
Activity: Ask pupils to list down all the different types of exercise they can do and to put their list of activities into different categories.
Main Activity
Explain all the benefits of exercise using slide 10.
Activity: Ask pupils to discuss how much exercise they do every week. Invite pupils to share what they do with the class.
Exercise your body parts activity: Ask pupils to write down 2 exercises or activities they could do to strengthen each of the body parts listed on slide 12. Ask pupils to plan out a mini circuit of activities to complete in a 15-minute period. Pupils can complete their circuits and share with another group.

Healthy body goals activity: Ask pupils what 3 goals they could set themselves to help improve their body and what 3 actions they can you do to help them achieve their goals.
Reflection time: Recap the lesson with the class. Ask pupils what 3 things they have learnt today and what will you do differently next time.
