Discussion question: Ask pupils to talk about a time when they felt successful as part of a team due to their decision making. Ask questions around how they felt being part of a team. Discuss the meaning of TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More).
Active learning: Children will play a game of rock, paper, scissors with a partner. Encourage children to play first to 3 wins and then using effective communication, challenge another child to play a game. Children need to play with 2 or 3 others before moving on to the main activity.
Use the same cards as the previous week.
Split the children into pairs and ask them to sit down in a small marked area in the middle of the hall. Ask for silence from all children. Using the same set up of stations as the previous week, choose a pair from the middle of the room to solve the card at a selected station. Give the pair one attempt to complete the card in the time frame set by the teacher.
Ensure all children celebrate the success of the pair with a clap or a silence if the challenge is uncompleted.
Explain the rules of the competition
Remind children that they win and lose together, as a team.
