Starter Activity
Introduce the session with the lesson objectives.
Explain to the class what confidence means.
Discuss: Ask pupils to discuss how confidence can help them. Invite them to share their answers with the class and share the examples on slide 4.
Main Activity
Activity: Who am I - Print out the statements on slide 5 and ask pupils to complete the sentences about everything they are. Pupils can share and compare their answers in pairs.
Activity: My personal shield – Print out a shield outline and ask pupils to complete each section with the answers to the 6 things on slide 6. Invite pupils to share their shields with each other and the class.
Explain what self-confidence looks like using slide 7.
Show the video called ‘the reflection in me’.
Read the poem about believing in yourself.
Activity: Your strengths – ask pupils to write about the strengths they have to do with their character, talents or skills etc. Invite pupils to share them with the class.

Activity: Ask pupils to discuss ways they can compliment each other to give them a confidence boost. You can write a list on the board.
